I think it would have been a great matchup. Dempsey versus rocky Marciana however I think the training methods used by Marciano would have eventually overwhelmed Dempsey in the later rounds. I don't think Jack Dempsey could go 15 rounds with someone like Rocky Marciano. Marciano would have swarmed all over him from the opening round and look for openings and create them. Marciano may have hit the canvas and gotten hurt in the fight because Dempsey did have the firepower to do it however I think Dempsey would have exposed his jaw and Marciano would have found it and knocked him out. I don't see the fight going the distance but I do see my piano winning in the mid to later rounds. I see the fight very similar to the bingo Marciano fight. Rocky would have salvation it for a fight with Dempsey and he would have locked himself up in his mountainside resort training set center in gross Inger's for 3 or 4 months and would have been in the best shape possible. Dempsey would have trained hard but not at the level that rocky would have. Even in their primes, I don't see Dempsey beating rocky

In most baseball stadiums, especially in the major leagues, home plate located in the southwest corner. Since games are played in afternoon or evening, the sun is overhead or in the west, and since it’s a summertime game, the sun is very high in the sky - not low to the south. With the plate to the southwest, the batter will be looking northeast. The batter will not have the sun in his eyes when he’s trying to pick up the ball. So when the pitcher is on the mound, his left arm is generally to the south. Thus, a lefty’s pitching “paw” is on the south side. This is commonly better for fielders, too. Picture yourself in any defensive position, and you’ll see that the sun is less of a problem than if the field were rotated the opposite way.
